Guitar/Backing Vocals
Lead Vocals
Mike has played on stage since the age of 12. He has toured the country with his music and shared the stage with the likes of Eddie Money, Men at Work, Tommy James, and many more. A retired CPA, Mike's major musical influences are the Beatles and Eric Clapton.
Bass/Backing Vocals
Dr. Gary Doll plays the bass and sings in the band. He has played the bass professionally for almost five decades, and his playing style was mainly influenced by bassists Stanley Clarke and Geddy Lee. Prior to joining the Guilty Pleasure Band, he was the bassist for groups including Hard Times (Louisville, KY), Razz (Akron, OH), and the Plasma Jets (Sheffield, UK). He has also played keyboards for groups that include The Waiting (Tom Petty Tribute), and True Blue (Canton, OH). Until 2022, he was also the Timken Professor of Engineering at the University of Akron.
Classically trained from the age of 11, Rosie is a powerful, dynamic vocalist and a true crowd pleaser. With 30 years of experience, performing in venues ranging from local restaurants and festivals, to musical theater productions, national tribute shows, and even holiday specials at Disneyworld Resort, she is comfortable in front of any crowd. Her musical stylings range from Linda Ronstadt and Fleetwood Mac, to Adele, Janis Joplin, and everything in between.
Drums
Mike Spaulding started playing drums (kitchen pots and pans!) in the early 70’s late at night watching Don Kirchner’s Rock Concert TV show. He then played with local groups through high school in his Southern Indiana hometown which led to enrolling in music courses at Indiana University. Family and professional responsibilities kept him in the Louisville, KY area for the next 30 years working but playing at night. He was co-founder of The Chase band in Louisville which played clubs, proms, corporate events, military officer’s clubs, Kentucky Derby™ events, weddings, etc. for over 15 years. He later joined another Louisville band, Flashpoint that added casino venues, country clubs and promo recording experience. Now, relocated to SWFL he enjoys touring and playing regional sites using both acoustic and electronic percussion to customize the sound for every festival, venue and tiki hut!
Keyboard
Grateful to have been raised by two musicians, Joe was born into and lived the early musical life necessary to develop a unique blend of emotion, technical skill, and interpretation of multiple genres and styles. His unique approach to playing his instruments has always been to evoke the same emotions in his listeners as he feels when playing. As a young man, Joe collaborated with local musicians in multiple local venues in Southern California, both in the recording studio and for live performances, but he has always preferred playing in front of an audience. Joe's primary focus has always been reaching out to people through sound and he has an innate desire to infect listeners with the same passion and emotion that has dominated his musical career.
